Daycare Policy:
Kid’s University Preschool has an “open door” policy. We invite you to drop in, unannounced; at any time. Stop by and see us whenever you wish.
We are open: Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m to 6:00 p.m
Discipline policy
At Kid’s University Preschool, discipline consists in positive reinforcement and redirection. We praise and encourage good behavior, recognizing that we serve as a role model for appropriate actions. When misbehavior is repeated, the removing of the child from one play area to another or limiting play privileges will be the consequence.
The use of physical punishment is never permitted at Kid’s University Preschool by staff or parents. It is important for good communication to exist between the family and Kid’s University.
Kid’s University Preschool is closed only seven days throughout the year:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas
If weather conditions or other emergencies require the closure of Kid’s University Preschool we will contact parents as soon as possible to pick up their children.
Health Requirements
Department of Children and Family regulations require all preschooler participants to provide up-to-date immunization records (680 form) and Physical Records (3040 form). For infants, these documents must be presented on the first day of care.
Dress Code Policy – Infant and Freshman’s Class
At Kid’s University Preschool your child will have opportunities to experience a variety of activities in which simple clothing that is washable will allow your child to participate comfortably in all activities from playground fun to messy art projects.
Sophomore, Juniors and Seniors/VPK Classes:
The school uniform is required starting in the Sophomore class. The uniform consists in a gray polo shirt with the school logo and navy blue for the bottom (pants, skirts, shorts, long socks). The tennis shoes and socks are mandatory daily.
